As we mentioned previously, 2petalrose is set to release a vinyl version of his popular Kid Katana resin figure. Here’s a full look at the debut red, white and gray ‘New Dawn’ edition showcasing the design which features ‘New Dawn 0003’ on the side of the oversized samurai helmet—the figure follows the Renegade & Lost Souls resin editions— and a deluxe leather katana strap allowing it to be slung cross body or on one shoulder. As with the resin versions, the vinyl edition includes a swappable top knot for display without the helmet. Kid Katana has three points of articulation at the neck and shoulders.
Going his customary one step beyond, 2petalrose is also releasing a separate bamboo stand accessory (6″) for displaying the helmet and katana in Japanese-inspired style. While sized for the vinyl accessories, the stand will also work with the Renegade and Lost Souls resin accessories. The stand is an easy way of achieving some of the dramatic presentation of 2petalrose’s one-of-a-kind handmade pieces with a production figure.
An edition of 200, the Kid Katana New Dawn vinyl art toy (8.5″) will be available for pre-order on Friday (11.27) at 9 AM PST from the 2petalrose online shop for £125 ($167). The figure is slated to ship in February 2021.
The bamboo display stand (6″, £30 / $41) as well as apparel (tee, mask, cap) will be available just ahead of the toy drop at 8:30 AM PST.
