Duty continues even after near-certain death — with an assist from unnerving technology. Fools Paradise revisits the classic futuristic crime-fighting film with its simply titled Lowfool // Robot vinyl art toy. Without the front visor and pistol, the cop’s somewhat tragic fate is amplified. Of course, this is Low Fool stepping into Murphy’s footsteps in new ‘Fool’ kicks. While not officially part of Fools Paradise’s League of Steel, Robot would fit right into the futuristic gridiron series.
As with many of the brand’s toys, Robot celebrates the 3D form with a larger format, nearly 14″ here. The larger size gives the figures a presence eclipsing that of smaller, ‘normal’ sized toys. On the flipside, this figure omits one of the brand’s calling cards: mixing two or more pop culture franchines into one design.
The Lowfool // Robot vinyl art toy (14.17″) is available for preorder from Fools Paradise for $430 (includes global shipping) and is slated to ship in Q2 2024.
