The future (of flaming hot garbage) is now. In addition to the first three SDCC Dumpster Fire announcements, 100% Soft has turned the dial to eleven with their new Mecha Dumpster Fire vinyl art toys. No longer just a symbol of dysfunction, these cute dystopian garbage receptacles can deliver the pain as well.
If you’ve been following 100% Soft’s announcements, you’ll know that they are going BIG this year. So maybe it’s not a surprise that they are dropping not one but two Mecha Dumpster Fires, one an SDCC Exclusive and the other a regular drop debuting at the convention. First up is the Mecha Dumpster Fire DF-79 ($45) with a frosty blue and white design, jet pack, side intakes and (rat) pilot, underneath the dumpster lid of course. The deliriously detailed figure comes in 11 parts, ready for easy assembly with sticker sheet for customization and instruction manual. While most of the parts are friction fit, the head crest and jetpack are even easier thanks to the magic of magnets.
How to go a light-year or two beyond for the SDCC Exclusive? Legs. The Mecha Dumpster Fire DF-209 ($54) may give you Endor flashbacks with its gray + dark gray bipedal concept. Yes, this comes with all the cool bits from the first design including rat pilot, sticker sheet, manual and wait for it… legs! Are you really sure you want to put your trash here?
