New art toy brand Heavy Cream is launching its first drop, The Nugget – Golden Oil by Josh Divine. The quirky, striking, and head-turning chicken + tank hybrid is partly inspired by filmmaker Warner Herzog’s memorable quote about chickens that starts off with “Look into the eyes of a chicken and you will see real stupidity. It is a kind of bottomless stupidity, a fiendish stupidity…” Golden Oil features a gold/black (and white) design that turns the classic color combo into a social commentary complementing the project’s inspiration.
The The Nugget – Golden Oil art toy (pvc + rotocast vinyl, 4″) is available from Heavy Cream as a preorder for $60. The figure is currently on a ship and is expected in Q1 2023. The fun model-kit style package design pays homage to the renowned Tamiya brand. The pictured army green edition will follow Golden Oil at a later date.
