Japanese artist Yosuke Ueno’s upcoming Star Collector polystone sculpture is his newest collaboration with Taiwan-based VINS. The bust style piece features what appears to be a younger version of Ueno’s signature Hapiko female character holding a glittery gold star with an extended point. While not fully visible, it appears that the piece features on or more stars at the rear. Previously teased, the new promo photos show each of the four vivid colors of the girl’s hair (Red, Yellow, Green and Blue) representing the four DNA bases that are the building blocks of life.
An edition of 77, the Star Collector polystone sculpture will be available via lottery on Thursday, April 28, 2022 @ 8 AM PDT. VINS will announce sales details 24 hours prior to the release.
