Japanese painter Yosuke Ueno will continue his long-running collaboration with VINS (VTSS) for his upcoming ‘Happy Go Lucky’ resin sculpture. Ueno recently shared a photo of his hand-painted prototype of the head-only piece as a preview of what to expect from the production piece.
The new sculpture features Yosuke’s signature girl character (presumably Hapiko) with a flower sprouting from her hair. The four colors in her hair, familiar to those that follow Ueno’s work, represent the four components of DNA. As is often the case, Hapiko is seen here with different color eyes—one blue and one red.
The Happy Go Lucky resin sculpture is slated for release in 2021.
