Daniel Arsham x Archive Editions have created the limited-edition Modern Artifact 001 in conjunction with the National Gallery of Victoria to celebrate the NGV Triennial 2020. Inspired by Arsham’s original Blue Calcite Hat (2016), MA-001 is a to-scale replica of a New York Yankees baseball cap realized in Arsham’s signature future relic aesthetic with eroded sections revealing the crystalline structure within.
An edition of 500, the Modern Artifact 001 plaster + resin sculpture will be available exclusively from the NGV Design Store for AU$2600 ($1988) on Tuesday (4.6) at 5 PM PDT.
