As part of its showing at One Art Taipei (1.15 – 1.17), VINS debuted the Luh & Ruh polyresin art toy sculpture busts from Indonesian artist Roby Dwi Antono. The busts feature a girl (Luh) and boy (Ruh) in the artist’s signature style.
The children’s large eyes are the focal points of the pieces. Their curious, wide-eyed gaze invites a closer look that reveals a vast galaxy within their pupils. With their hairstyles and clothing, the pair seem to be born of the past.
Based on the timer on their site, the Luh & Ruh set will be released on Wednesday (1.27) at 10 PM PST from VINS. Luh & Ruh are the latest collaborations between Roby Dwi Antono and Vins. Previous releases include the lion-like ‘Nala’ and the ethereal ‘Intimacy‘.
