VinylesChiles has posted what appears to be a leak of the designs for Kidrobot’s upcoming Dunny Azteca 2 series. Their post indicates that they aren’t sure that this is the real deal. You may remember that VinylesChiles also leaked the Dunny 2010 designs – which leads us to believe these may be legit. Time will tell. What do you think of these designs ? Also, it seems like leaks of the entire series before it’s even officially announced are becoming the norm, is this awesome, so-so or ugly ?

I can’t believe that there is no Jesse Hernandez again? What the hell you would think he would have one. But out of the bunch there are only a couple I would want. Wouldn’t go out and buy a case.
No Jesse Hernandez does indeed seem wrongified. I would be very interested to see the avocado one & the sombrero ones look cool. Ultimately, there are only so many Dunny I can have in my life, and the smaller ones just aren’t quite my bag.
I’d go for some of these designs on larger-scale figures for sure.
It really is amazing how much crappier these things get with each release. Usually there are a few jewels to be found in a series–but not this one. Whose making the decisions over there at KR these days?
None of these are really my style, but the 2 Oscar Mar and the Jose Maria Torre are fun. I love the idea of the blank face with stickers to make your own. Other then that KR just hasn’t been putting out anything that wow’s me anymore. Prices go up and QC goes down.

Does the 8 under the jose torre one mean it’s an 8″? Goldent ticket perhaps? The only one I somewhat like is the sombrero guy. Very weak series.

Exactly, if you need to be mexican to “understand” the series, then is clear, that the series are so freaking wrong… this things are worldwide!
bad designs, bad ideas… too many cliches, there are a three mexican characters, 2 comedians: Cantinflas and Tin Tan and Frida Kahlo, im thinking KR will have legal issues using those three figures, are legally protected i dont believe KR plan to pay money to the family of this actors and to Frida Foundation or whatever it is..
also if this series is the real thing, there are also two names from an 15 years old bad actress and an another bad actor. i mean, no graphic artists…. honestly hope this series aint true, tho theres a couple good designs… the overall serie -sigh-

I’m glad to hear you say that Chauskoskis. I am not Mexican, so I felt it was not my place to point out all the stereotypes and caricatures I noticed.
A Pinyata? Tin Tan? Why don’t they just throw one of the Frito Bandito in there while they are at it? Someone did point out the Avocado–which I missed the first time. That one is well-designed and clever. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how the final versions turn out.
