The 2nd edition of I Am 8-Bit featuring art inspired by classic video games opens on Tuesday, April 18th at Gallery nineteen eighty eight from 6 to 11 PM. The ’06 edition will be jumping, running and scoring with the help of some of the top underground and urban artists in the game today. To get into the swing of things here’s a quick sneak-peak of several show pieces including 2 hand-made wood plumbers complete with pulverizing arm swinging action from Mike Burnett which stand a good 9" tall. On the softer side of toys, Shawnimals’ contribution to the show is a plush series of Great ‘Staches from Video Games History all mounted on wood plaques for posterity.
