Kidrobot’s El Robo Loco (#7 in the Kidrobot icon series) went on sale this morning in both blue and yellow additions. These figures created by Tristan Eaton and Paul Budnitz are really cool — dig the Luchador masks and the gigantic mallets! The blue is already sold out through Kidrobot (although it may be available at other stores still). If you want to be sure to get the yellow — you should but it ASAP. You know how these things tend to go — wait — and end up regretting having to bid for it on Ebay 🙁 To make things simpler, here’s the product page for the yellow El Robo Loco. Update:Yellow is SOLD OUT as well. Wow, less than 2 full days and KR sells out of both colorways. I believe there were 333 of each, so that’s 666 figures in 2 days — with the Blue selling out in about half-a-day! Update 2: Of course, some of these units were sold to wholesalers, so they haven’t sold out at retail … yet.
There’s still one more colorway for the El Robo Loco — a really nice pink/purple combination. In fact, many collectors including myself think this coming edition is the best of all three. KR hasn’t released much info about the release date other than to say it’s coming 🙂 SDCC (San Diego ComiCon) anyone? Nah… Shrug.
