Japanese artist Touma is set to unleash his newest figures, the Hound Dragons, at DesignerCon 2020 Online via the 3DRetro booth. As his 20th anniversary of creating toys approaches in 2021, Touma has brought back his bold style embodied in his renown Knuckle Bear figures.
The Hound Dragons carry Touma’s classic style with big fists, powerful styling paired with tiny feet, and fierce facial expressions with razor-sharp teeth. Honoring both aspects of its name, the Hound Dragon features a dog-like face and a wicked dragon tail which splits into two, a nod to Japanese Yokai. Blending the classic with the refined, Touma has given the Hound Dragons an S-shaped profile for a more organic feel.
The Hound Dragon soft vinyl figures (4.72″) will debut in two editions—Spinel Dragon (Purple) and Opal Dragon (White)—from the 3DRetro booth at DesignerCon 2020. DCon Tickets—General Admission ($10) and VIP ($65— are available though VIP tickets are selling through quickly. The VIP pass includes access to the Preview Night making it ideal for those hunting choice releases.
