Superstar singer-song writer The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) celebrates the 10th Anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album, Kiss Land, with a new art toy collaboration with Superplastic. The Kiss Land art toy collection features a new vinyl figure blending the R&B artist’s Super Fantastic Red Panda Cat mascot with Superplastic’s SuperJanky figure. This red panda cat—with striped tail— is hip to the future of entertainment with its removable VR goggles. Diving into the design, the figure appears to have a custom head with sculpted nose, new sculpted tail and standard SuperJanky body.
The Kiss Land vinyl art toys (8″) will be available in three colorways: Green, Black and Red on Sunday (9.10) at 6 AM PDT—in celebration of the album’s release date back in 2013—from Superplastic, Superplastic NYC and The Weeknd’s online store. The Green edition (1200 pieces) will be available individually for $125. The Black (500 pieces) and Red (200 pieces) will be available as a blind-box offering for $125, featuring either Black or Red. The Green and Red editions feature a sexy, reflected visor image while the Black edition flaunts a sculpted-in triple-x design.
