Throwing Stones is the latest collaboration between Japanese artist Yusuke Hanai and All Rights Reserved. Hanai continues his focus on urban life—simple, everyday, uneven and sometimes challenging. No hype, no bling, no over-the-top street fashion here. The piece features one of Hanai’s signature characters seen just after he’s launched a stone or perhaps pretending to do so. A way to pass time, ride the doldrums and reflect.
As with many of his other pieces, Hanai’s newest art toy has an unmistakable, unpretentious presence. We can all relate to the character as he finds his way through the days, sometimes bathing in the comfort of the unremarkable.
An edition of 1000, the Throwing Stones vinyl art toy (5.4″) will be available for pre-order on Wednesday (6.28) at 8 PM PDT from DDT Store for HK$3925 (~$500) and is slated to ship in August 2023.
