Giving new meaning to true friendship, the upcoming FWEN vinyl art toy is the latest collaboration between Joan Cornellà and All Rights Reserved. More than meets the eye, FWEN features two friends hugging one another, a precious moment from their picture perfect friendship. Or is it?
A simple tug on the yellow guy’s lower leg (magnetic) showcases the artist’s dark sense of humor. Friendship is mostly certainly a game of give and take. At least, he still has his arm (for now). The clever design shines here, seamlessly transforming the entire meaning of the figure with a fun bit of interactivity. The FWEN vinyl art toy (8.8″) will be available for pre-order on Thursday (10.15) at 8 PM PDT from the DDT Store for HK$1,965 ($254). DDT Store will also simultaneously release the I Hope I Die Soon giclee print (Signed/Numbered Edition of 100, 26.18 ” x 19.69″, HK$5,495/$709).
