Japanese artist Otani Workshop creates paintings and ceramic sculptures of charming, innocent animal characters. Expanding his reach, Otani has created his first vinyl toy in conjunction with Takashi Murakami’s Kaikai Kiki. Previously seen in original paintings and larger ceramic sculptures, Tanilla makes its vinyl debut in a green edition. The piece replicates Otani’s hand-made ceramics with refreshingly loose details. With a happy face, teeny tiny arms, and small spikes, this dino is more bright than fright.
The Tanilla vinyl art toy will be available on Friday (5.26) at 3:30 PM PDT as part of the Unboxed Festival on NTWRK for $624.
