Tokyo-based Tonari No Zingaro is set to release two store exclusive Melting DOB vinyl art toy sculptures from Takashi Murakami x Kaikai Kiki. The Ice Blue and Strange Pinky editions of Murakami’s signature character follow the OG edition released by Perrotin Store back in January 2021. Compared to the classic blue and red version, both of the Zingaro exclusives offer alternative takes with adventurous color schemes. In particular, Strange Pinky lives up to its name with a wild, delirious design.
Originally slated for a November 2021 release, both Zingaro Melting DOB art toy sculptures (editions of 150, 9.96″ H x 12.5″ W, ¥255,500/$2221), are available via web lottery for in-store (only) pickup on January 23rd (Sunday) at 10 AM JST. Each figure comes with a metal disc base, numbered certificate of authenticity and a matching keychain.
