Netherlands-based Flawtoys showcases his unique perspective on art toys with his upcoming Rosecast Stranger resin art toys. With a minimalist approach featuring (artificial) roses seemingly floating within the crystal clear Stranger, these double-cast pieces are as much design objects as they are art toys. These striking pieces would be equally at home on a coffee table, elegant book shelf display or next to other art toys.
The new Rosecast Stranger figures will be available in both Purple Red and Grey editions featuring matching color roses. In addition to the delicate petals that seem effortlessly placed, the flowers also feature green leaf detail on their backsides. The release is perfectly timed to June’s peak rose blooms in fragrant gardens.
Editions of 20, the Rosecast Stranger Purple Red and Rosecast Stranger Grey resin art toys (7″) will be available on Thursday (6.2) at 8 AM PDT from Flawtoys for €130 ($139). The figures are expected to ship within a week.
