Spanish artist Bakea has begun to translate his surreal portraits of beloved cartoon characters into three dimensions with the just-released Donut Brain vinyl art toy bust from Martian Toys. The facial features of the iconic and mostly beloved Springfield father are askew, twisted about, yet instantly recognizable.
Ever wonder what this somewhat distracted, parental powerhouse has on his mind? Sprinkled, frosted, donuts, of course! Answering the call of its suggestive title, the figure features a (partially eaten) donut that’s seemingly just popped up through a hidden door in the character’s forehead. The delivery mechanism has a retro, accordion vibe—a zany twist that nails the mood of the moment.
