Sank Toys continues its April releases with four more varied versions of its signature Sank The Child deep sea diver figure lined up for Saturday through Tuesday. These upcoming releases showcases the brand’s creativity with releases that celebrate good times and adventure as well as more sentimental, emotional statement.
The Sank Park – Vending Machine – Carnival resin art toy (Edition of 299, 8.46″, ~$249, Saturday (4.9) @ 7 AM PDT) brings back childhood memories of the circus with a fun design. Housed within an old-school soda vending machine, is a red and blue Sank starring on the trapeze, surrounded by old-school Circus advertisements and decorations. While the outside of the vending machine is a bit plain, the open/closed aspect with the fun that awaits makes for a clever design.
Keeping the amusement theme flowing, the Sank Park – The Slide – Hide & Seek resin art toy (Edition of 299, 6.5″, ~$135, Sunday (4.10) @ 7 AM PDT) features a black and red Sank preparing to launch down a concrete slide riding on a mini car. Fun touches include a panda bear toy sticking out of Sank’s backpack and a stop sign at the bottom of the slide.
Monday’s drop, the Sank – The Shape – Blocks – Sunrise resin art toy (Edition of 199, 9.33″, ~$249, Monday (4.11) @ 7 AM PDT) is perhaps the most striking of this wave. With Spring’s arrival, the snow covering a large Lego-style brick figure melts revealing its translucent Sunrise-colored exterior. Nestled within the torso of the figure is a bright orange/yellow Sank deep in thought, knees pulled in. Removing Sank from the brick figure reveals the flower that the diver is sitting on.
Finally, after a long day spent enjoying the Circus, ride park, and the early days of Spring, we have the Sank – Good Night – Series – Days resin art toy (Open Edition, 4.72″, ~$69, Tuesday (4.12) at 7 AM PDT) featuring a gold/black sank nodding off in slumberland.
All four of the new Sank releases will be available for pre-order from select retailers including myplasticheart and Strangecat Toys on the above listed release dates. Each has an expected shipping date of May 2022. While pricing has not been announced by retailers, we have listed Sank Toys’ Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) above as a way of judging relative price. Please note that pricing tends o vary slightly from retailer to retailer for Sank products based on their specific costs to bring in the figures from China.
