UK artist RYCA’s Space Cadet continues its mission to spread happiness with the brand-new Pocket Mission mini vinyl figures. At 4″ tall—less than half the size of the 10″ OG figure—the new minis concentrate the fun of the original design into a cubicle or desk-friendly size. Seemingly all the detail of the original has been retained, including the irrepressible smiley face, slightly awkward space suit, removable clear helmet and three points of articulation.
Given their smaller size, RYCA has packaged the Pocket Mission toys as carded action figures. Carefully designed with a sliding, reusable blister, the package allows collectors to have their cake and eat it too by effortlessly moving from displaying the carded figure to playing with it and back again. As with the larger figures, the smaller Space Cadets include metal collector coins.
The Space Cadet – Pocket Mission mini vinyl art toys (4″) are available in four hand-painted, standalone editions: Silver (£45/$60), White (£45/$60), Dirty Glow (£50/$66) and GID (£50/$66). There’s also a Super Set of six figures which includes two additional editions: DIY and ‘Clean’ Silver.
