Chris Lee’s charming take on the rhino beetle has the signature oversized rhinoceros -like horn, large eyes, and a compact body. First released as a handmade resin back in 2018, the plucky beetle has found its footing with the soft vinyl version. The vinyl Rhino Beetle is off to a roaring start with multiple colorways released since its debut back at DesignerCon 2019. including the brand-new Woodland Rose edition.
Launched as a preview release at last weekend’s DesignerCon 2021, Woodland Rose features a subtle black and pink design that one almost might expect to see rambling along a tree branch deep in the forest. From this understated design to previous flamboyant drops in various shades of purple and pink, Chris Lee’s dynamic beetle has a hue for a wide range of tastes.
The Rhino Beetle – Woodland Rose soft vinyl art toy (4″) with log base will be available as a general online release on Saturday (11.20) at 7 AM PST from Unbox Industries for $60.
