Rhino Beetle is back! Chris Lee debuted his art toy at DesignerCon 2018 in a small-run, hand-finished resin edition. Now, one year later, his cute creation returns as a 4″ soft vinyl toy from Unbox Industries. The pointy one has learned a new trick along the way—he can tilt his head thanks to a nifty articulated joint. The new Rhino Beetles also include a separate display log with indentations to make the critters feel right at home. The soft vinyl Rhino Beetles debuted at last weekend’s DesignerCon in three colorways — Chris Lee’s Exclusive Peach Mist, Unbox’s Exclusive Midnight Plum and the shared exclusive Purple Soda.
If you missed DesignerCon, you’ll be happy to know that Unbox will be offering both the Midnight Plum and Purple Soda from their online store on Saturday (11.30) at 7 AM PDT for $50 each.
