Kansas City-based Scribe’s signature rhino is making quite the resurgence. The recent Rumpus TEQ figures created in collaboration with QUICCS x Martian Toys were the first Rumpus art toys in quite some time. Now UVD Toys is about to release the first edition of the all new for 2021 Rumpus vinyl art toy from Scribe. Rather than a platform style design, this is an all-original figure.
Designed to represent Scribe’s vision of the classic, OG version of the character, the new 7″ figure features Rumpus as he walks (presumably to school) with a book in hand while relaxing to music. Wearing a yellow hoodie, red backpack and blue jeans, the rhino is at home in his urban environment. As digitally sculpted by Oasim Karmieh, the new figure features a dynamic Rumpus on the move, mid-gait, rather than standing in place. The Rumpus vinyl art toy (7″) will be available for preorder on Friday (4.30) at 9 AM PDT from UVD Toys and select art toys for $85. The figures are slated to ship in July 2021.
