UK artist 2petalrose continues to expand the Kid Katana universe with the new Renegade Leader vinyl art toy. Officially the fourth edition (0004), the new figure features a red, black and gold design. While the color design bears a passing resemblance to the original resin release (0001), the Renegade Leader inverts the colors of the warrior’s body armor and gear with black chest plate and red robes. Renegade Leader follows the OG Resin, the Valley of Lost Souls Resin (0002) and the New Dawn Vinyl (0003).
Tirelessly pushing his work forward, 2petalrose continues to add flourishes and touches with each new release. Renegade Leader marks the first production Kid Katana with a fabric oni mask (similar to 2petalrose’s AP and custom releases) and fabric belt. The figure includes interchangeable samurai helmet and top not accessories plus katana with faux leather strap.
The Kid Katana Renegade Leader vinyl art toy (8.5″) will be released as a 24-hr timed release starting on Friday (2.5) at 9 AM PST from 2petalrose’s web shop for £125 ($171). The edition size will be determined by the number of orders receive during the pre-order window. This collector-friendly timed release approach is specific to this version only —don’t miss out.
In addition the new vinyl release, 2petalrose is also releasing a new display stand in black bamboo (£35 / $48) on Friday (2.5) at 8:30 AM PST—a half hour ahead of the Renegade Leader. The previously released natural bamboo stand will also be available for the Friday release.
