Goodzila (Noger Chen) continues his Childhood Kaiju series with the Henorah vinyl art toy produced by Black Seed. Henorah is inspired by the classic Hedorah kaiju, filtered through the artist’s adolescent experience.
Centering the design around the youthful anxiety of sweat and body odor, Henorah recalls endless, hot summer days mastering video games. The figure comes with several gaming accessories: a console, two controllers and a television with three-swappable game screens.
“Smell ”is the recognition of my teenage years.
Henorah is a summer boy with sweaty body and odor, just like every teenage boy. After the sport class, boys would go to pay basketball on weekends and end with a big bottle of soda. The smell is strong but also represents our young age. In that stage, all romance started. Boys hang out to watch the “decode” TV programme when no parents are at home, and share those pretty magazines.
Of course, TV games are necessary for the summer holiday, spending whole days. Therefore, we have prepared 3 different TV screens for you and enjoy with Henorah. – Noger Chen
