For nearly a year, France-based Emergency Toys has been showcasing their army of original toys, many slated for production in vinyl. While there’s no release date yet, other than ‘2020’, the artist behind Emergency Toys has been busy hand-painting colorway tests of his initial group of planned releases, including the humorous Sprayed, seen here. Each features a vivid, riot of color. Interestingly, there are quite a few different shoe designs. While the the wait isn’t over, it’s great to see painted, even hand-done, test figures.
Sprayed stands out to us with its light-hearted take on the urban art toy genre. It’ll be interesting to see how it’s received, but the alternate approach is certainly a change of pace.
