Emergency Toys continues to amaze and tease with one tantalizing art toy proto after the other. Next up is the just revealed Smartphone lazygirl WIP proto (7.87″). This fun, stylish, slightly surreal concept blends retro phone tech—rotary dial is a distant memory—with urban fashion. While many of Emergency’s designs are targeted as vinyl toys, this one is planned as a resin release.
With a seemingly bottomless portfolio of high-quality art toy designs, Emergency Toys remains an enigma. So far, they have not announced any specific release plans to date and have been content to let the work speak for itself without insight into the artist(s) involved. We’ll continue to enjoy the fantastic preview ride while we wait for release info.
