Spanish painter Javier Calleja has collaborated with Nanzuka Gallery and Apportfolio on the new limited-edition ‘Do Not Touch’ resin+steel art toy. Featuring Calleja’s signature character style with large, curious eyes, the new piece carries the artist’s rebellious nature, in this case challenging the common refrain spoken to children and art audiences.
An edition of 250 pieces, Do Not Touch stands 14.2″ tall, includes an ‘artist hand drawn canvas’ which is signed by the artist on the rear and comes packaged in a wooden art crate-style box. While not specifically stated, it appears the referenced canvas is the small Do Not Touch sign.
Do Not Touch will be available via lottery (1.8.20 @ 12 AM PST through 1.15.20 @ 6:59 AM PST) for ¥217,800 ($2004).
