Tribute Toys is currently on the last 24 hrs or so of its Belly art toy Kickstarter campaign. Designed by Richie Pile of Madcap Customs. the 6″ Belly features a bear character with yes, a large belly, and skeletal-style face. The toy features molded-in arms but individual feet. Belly seems, in part, inspired by the simple, smooth shapes of the toys his creator has customized including Tiny Ghost from Bim Toys and Mon (Mon Toys). Producing a successful platform-style toy is no easy task, so it’s always nice to see an indie team challenge the odds.
The Belly Kickstarter features a variety of rewards including stickers, enamel pins and of course, the toys themselves. Focusing on the toy-based rewards, CA$40 ($31) will get you a choice of either the Classic Belly or the Contra Belly colorway. If you want both, that’s CA$75 ($58). Be quick as the Kickstarter ends on Wednesday (1.22) at 1 PM PST.
