If you’ve been following Gary Baseman, you’ll know that he has a special bond with his cat, Blackie. In fact, he celebrated his feline companion with The Purr Room installation as part of the Other Art Fair Los Angeles (October, 2018). With the upcoming DesignerCon debut of the Blackie the Cat Plush art toy, Blackie is becoming one of Baseman’s signature characters. Each plush toy includes an official signed Certificate of Adoption and 8×10″ photograph of Blackie (signed by the cat). The deluxe offering comes in an Italian cotton dustbag bearing Blackie’s image.
Baseman will release the Blackie the Cat Plush from his DesignerCon booth [#2120] and then online on Tuesday, November 26th at 9AM PST from his web store.
