Previous Next

With just under two weeks until DesignerCon 2019 (11.22 – 11.24), here’s a quick roundup of the news and pics of the six expected DesignerCon 100% Be@rbricks in conjunction with Medicom Toy.  First up is the Vincent Mascot design created by Scott Tolleson. This one features the show’s mascot with the added flair of clear ears.  As announced, the Vincent Be@rbrick will be included with the VIP Pass which features admission for all three days including Friday’s VIP / MVP only preview night plus 1-hr early admission on Saturday and Sunday.

What about the Artist Be@bricks which have been teased and previewed In recent weeks? Rather than single, standalone releases, these will be released in the DesignerCon Artist Series Be@rbrick 5-pack Set with designs by Joe Ledebetter, kaNO, Luke Chueh, Tristan Eaton and Steven Harrington, who is best known for his work with Nike and his art toys with ToyQube.  Ledbetter’s design features his Ringo character in classic orange.  kaNO’s Be@rbrick features his signature urban flair with stylish translucent ears featuring silhouettes of a cap and a water tower, a staple of the NYC skyline. For his turn, Luke Chueh plays off the synergy of the toy platform and signature character as only he can with his ‘Not A Be@r’ concept featuring his beloved, bloody bear.  Tristan Eaton’s design is based on his Kill My Assassin original painting (2016) and features ‘wrap’ style deco to achieve the detailed, all-over print. So far, only the back of Eaton’s design has been revealed.   Finally, Steven Harrington’s design has yet to be revealed.
