Turns out collectors will have two 8” Dunnys to look forward to for SDCC. Kidrobot will debut the 8” No Strings on Me Dunny, their first collaboration with Spanish artist WuzOne, in limited quantities in San Diego. It will be available at the Kidrobot booth [#5645] for $60.00 and then be available from retailers at some point after the show. This drop is in addition to the previously announced, but not yet revealed SDCC exclusive Junko Mizuno Dunny.
The artist’s take on the puppet who would become a boy features a sharp, bright design. As he describes it, "This design is an example of what I have painted for seven years and also my current line of work. I have always attached great importance to the clean lines, bright colors and high contrasts. I am happy to finally have a production piece that will reach everyone. I think this Dunny will be a breath of fresh air anyone’s collection.”
From what has been announced so far, Kidrobot’s SDCC lineup includes WuzOne’s Dunny, an exclusive Junko Mizuno Soda Dunny, two medium format Megaman exclusives, two medium format Adventure Time Exclusives, and a GID Best Fiends Slug exclusive.
