So last night we dropped an exclusive teaser of the Joe Ledbetter’s 12” Mutant Bunny one-of-a-kind series. For what may very well be the ‘it’ project for JLed collectors, Joe has designed a brand-new 12” resin figure sculpted and cast by Pretty in Plastic. The sculpt features a new pose with a slightly polygonal look (esp. in the feet). And then, the magic happens. He’s hand-painting each of the 40 figures with a one-of-a-kind design. Each of the Mutant Bunnys is completely different and unique.
The first five: Mr. Bunny, Miss Bunny, Monster Bunny, Temper Bunny, and Tiger Dunny drop today and are now available at Joeledbetter.com for $1500 each. Joe will periodically release more unique Mutant Bunnies as he completes them. If you’ve ever wanted a hand-painted JLed figure, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
This ambitious project blends the best of fine art multiples and customs. As with a fine art multiple, the Mutant Bunny one-of-a-kind series is an extremely low-run project with an exclusive design. Always have been a sucker for JLed’s work. But wayyyyy too broke to afford a luxury like that. Still, these look simply amazing, and totally jealous of those who gets one!
