As we first posted last night, Kidrobot has just announced Huck Gee’s ‘Gold Life’ 3” Dunny series featuring thirteen designs inspired by feudal Japan running the gamut including Ninjas, Geishas, Samurai, a very familiar Ornery Panda and more. As far as I can remember, this is the first full blind-box series featuring a single artist. Props to Huck, just deserved.
Each Gold Life Dunny is ready for action with their own accessory – a KR hallmark. No one’s done bb accessories as well and as consistently as Kidrobot. In fact, for all the negativity thrown its way, KR continues to elevate the Dunny, be it entirely new head sculpts or awesome accessories. The Gold Life figures are some of the nicest Dunnys to-date. Here’s guessing that Huck and Dunny fans will agree.
If one large dose of Huck is great, a double dose just might be even better. In addition to the Gold Life series, Kidrobot will release the Gold Life Black Kabuki & Kitsune 2-pack. This one features ‘Kabuki’ the Masked Ronin and Kitsune, the Seven Tailed Geisha, each with their normal accessories + removable kabuki style masks.
The ‘Gold Life’ blind-box Dunnys will go on sale on September 1st from Kidrobot and select retailers for $9.95/box. The 2-pack will also be available on September 1st for $29.95.
Finally, signing tour? Yup. Huck is pulling the full grind (well, except London) – NYC (8.29), Miami (8.30), San Francisco (8.31) and LA (9.1) – each event will be from 6 to 8 PM. And in case you’re wondering, yes the NY, MIA and SF signings are pre-releases with limited quantities just for the events.
good stuff Jack
Dalek had the first 3” artist series. Didn’t David Horvath have a 3″ series also?
THey look amazing, Disappointed no London date. Do have something against the UK?
yeah you’re right Ephraim. of course those don’t even compare in quality and design to the huck series. granted they were pioneer series when they came out.
I can’t wait. Love Huck and love they are so affordable.
