Kidrobot has officially announced Dunny 2011 and given us the first photos of 18 new designs created by the roster of 15 artists which includes Aya Kakeda, Chuckboy, Huck Gee, Kronk, MAD, Dirty Donny, Mister F®ame$, Mishka, Squink!, 64 Colors, DrilOne, Elphonso Lam, Le Merde, Travis Lampe, and Betso. Overall, 2011 looks like a strong series with a nice mix of artists. We’re especially digging Huck’s awesome Zombie and Zombie Hunter Dunnys. Brilliant to include the ‘trophy’ on the Hunter. Toy narrative ? Yup.
Dunny 2011 drops on Thursday, June 23rd for $9.95 / blind box. This time around kidrobot ups the bonus ante – purchasers of a case will receive an alternate Huck Gee Zombie Dunny plus a Dunny 2011 tote. To celebrate KR will hold official trading parties at KR LA, SF, NYC, and Miami. The New York event will feature a ‘Hole in the Middle’ book release and exclusive matching Dunny with Aya Kakeda and Paul Budnitz (see flier after the jump).
