LA-based Oishii Creative has taken a step into vinyl with the release of ‘The Kid’, their mascot, as a DIY figure. ‘The Kid’ (800 pcs) is fairly large standing 6” tall and measuring 5” from pony tail to nose, and 4” from ear to ear. Looking at this design, I’m digging the head sculpt – full of attitude and character. The body (esp. the arms) isn’t quite as exciting. With the fairly detailed head sculpt, this might have been better suited as a regular (painted) rather than a DIY fig. The price is pretty reasonable at $30.
