Luke Chueh was at Kidrobot LA on Thursday evening (10.14) for the release of his new 8” Blood & Fuzz Dunny. The 2-piece flocked set reprises his ‘09 2.5” Dunny while adding a sweet severed Dunny head. The severed head accessory continues Luke’s tradition of decapitated collectibles. While some had reported that the head is the size of a 2.5” Dunny head, it is in fact much larger.
As you might expect demand for this one was high. So much so that the store put a ticket system into effect to limit the people in line to the supply on-hand. At the end of the night a raffle was held for the right to purchase two remaining Dunnys – the store sample and one with a damaged box (cleverly ‘fixed’ by Luke’s quick wit – see the pic after the jump). From the recent Black in White (and Red All Over) release to tonight’s Dunny drop, Luke is leaving little doubt that he’s a star in both the art and toy world.
