Mathias Päres — KeyBotz S1: Scandinavian Masters

All_Above_3

Looking to build a designer toy community and industry in his native country, Swedish advertising creative Mathias Päres has just released the  Keybotz : Scandinavian Masters mini-figures (2.5”).  As the name hints, the Keybotz design combines a mini-figure design with a clever key holder – the toy allows the owner to insert and store two keys which then serve as the toy’s ‘arms’. In a fun nod to the frenetic, all encompassing nature of collecting, Mathias has conceived a  tongue-in-cheek ‘vinyl toy religion’ which is immediately recognizable from the shiny gold bible style Keybotz boxes.

The first series features seven figures from Scandinavian designers and is available now directly from keybotz.com from $20.00 each. The next series will focus on Japanese artists including Mad Barbarians, Itokin Park, Uamou and more.
