Mark Dean Veca’s “As Cold as they Come” revolver is the first art multiple from the just formed Bigshot Fine Art. Limited to 100 pieces, this cast pewter & chrome-plated piece is based on Veca’s ‘09 painting (after the jump), of Michael Corleone’s ‘Godfather’ revolver (9” long), which was shown at the Jonathan Levine Gallery. The translation from 2D to 3D is really nice – instead of treating Veca’s intricate organic textures as deco, BFA has incorporated them directly into the sculpt. The piece will retail for $300 directly from Bigshot in November 2010.
