Mutton Designs – Droid Prototypes

 1SebToy(Small)

As a student at the Loughborough School of Art and Design (UK), James Paget (Mutton Designs) designs robot figures with CAD software and then turns to a rapid prototype machine to make them a 3D reality.  He will show off prototypes of two of his droids – Bob, a deep space mining droid, and Sebastian, a ‘good deed’ droid programmed to offer friendly assistance,  at a special culminating exhibition at the university, “3D Design New practice”, on June 11th (6-9 PM).   After his upcoming graduation, James is planning to make small batch robots in resin.   We’re looking forward to seeing new droids roll off the Mutton Designs factory floor and are hoping that the paint apps match the really nice work on Bob and Sebastian. Hit the jump to check out Bob.
