Bic Plastics showcased Marka27’s Mini-Gods at Toy Fair 2010 with MG3 Japan Ninja which we revealed last week. They also revealed the brand-new 6” mini Mini-Gods. That’s right a double dose of Mini-Gods.
The new MG3 represents the latest in Givers of Divine Sound technology with two working speakers, USB + mini-jack connectors, a rechargeable battery and AC adapter. As seen in our previous post, the Japan design is based on the shape and contour of Taiko drums while the deco of this edition is inspired by garb of the legendary assassins.
From the new to the brand spankin’ new. The mini Mini-Gods pack the aesthetic and sound of the original into a more compact form. “Mini” only in comparison to their big brothers, the new figures stand 6” tall and in case you’re wondering have a working speaker. Two of the new smaller Mini-Gods were shown at the BIC booth – Asia (gold and red, below) and Japan (shown above in solid black). Drawing on Buddhist inspirations, the 6” Asia design looks ‘divine’. This new smaller line opens up the Mini-Gods to new collectors and new spaces. Exciting.
