Indonesian artist Saltnpaper specializes in paper toys as you might guess. We’re excited about his latest project to create what he describes as ‘fusion toys’ a mix of “urban toy with culture touch”. He’s working with a Javanese craftsmen to create carved wood version of Fatboy, one of his earlier original paper toys. Made from environmentally friendly waste wood, the wood fatboy bears a traditional pattern which provides a strong visual juxtaposition between the new and the old. Very cool. We’ll keep an eye on this.
