T9G makes some of the freshest vinyl figures available today. While some of his early figures seemed constrained by status quo aesthetics driven around cuteness, his recent work showcases talent unleashed.
His latest figure in his Yumenonko series/family is Kodomo. Like much of his work, Kodomo prompts an immediate double-take – it”s dark, twisted, definitely ‘odd’ and fashionable at the same time. It comes with a hat, mask, and hemp(?translation?) bag. Produced by Medicom as part of its VCD line, this one is a collector’s collectible — the 12" piece is limited to just 50 pieces and will be available at three Japanese retail spots — Medicom’s Project 1/6, Stitch, and Fewmany. It sounds like there may be a trickle of figures that make it overseas (more info if we can get details).
