You played with (errr tortured…) them as kids and now you probably try to avoid them… The Bugs group show opening @ Nucleus this Saturday, February 9th, 2008 (7 – 11 PM) brings together eight artists’ vision of these tiny and plentiful creatures. The insect lovers are Alex Kirwan, Amanda Visell, Anna Chambers, Chris Rabilwongse, Don Shank, Lou Romano, Megan Brain and Michelle Valigura. We’ve got a look at Amanda’s three pieces for the show courtesy of the gallery – two more after the jump, so click through and enjoy. The paintings are some of her best work yet (IMO) and the sculpture — well she’s got taxidermy on the brain right now. Come out to the opening and check out all the work.
