As we’ve previously posted, Super7 has a sweet Halloween treat in store for collectors — Monster Mash opening on Saturday, October 6th 2007. Monster Mash is a double-barrelled humdinger (it’s late… that’s my excuse!) of an event — a custom show and a multi-toy super release.
Let’s focus on the custom show first. The deep lineup includes Paul Kaiju, Kathie Olivas, Bwana Spoons, Koji Harmon, Kyoka Ikeda, Brian Flynn, Leecifer, Bob Conge, Mutant Massacer, Lash, Hiro Hayashi, Joe Huerta, Josh Herbolsheimer and more. Here’s a quick preview of just a couple of the customs — Leecifer’s custom Dokuwashi and a KAWS x Pushed Head companion customized by Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters. If I see anything close to Leecifer’s creation on October 31st, I’m walking the other way — the eyes really push this one over the top! Kathie and Brandt’s piece is wacky spooky fun — constantly impressed by their collab work. Be sure to check out Monster Mash on 10.6.07 from 7 to 10 PM.
