Dr. Romanelli, the celebrated remixer and revitalizer of brands, has turned his touch to the childhood favorite Looney Tunes characters. The new exclusive collection in collaboration with Warner Brothers was unveiled at 181 Martel this past Friday (10.06.06) and includes Converse kicks, a full apparel line (shirts, jackets, and sweatshirts) from Japanese brand, Over the Stripes, and a brand-new "Mad Doktor" Bugs Buny vinyl figure. The figure was sculpted by Monster5 and produced by Span of Sunset.
For the release event, Dr. Romanelli turned 181 Martel into a mad laboratory with a sweet installation featuring several wall murals, xray viewers and a gurney doubling as a shirt display. To complete the theme, prints were packaged in large radiology envelopes. Great stuff. Definitely check it out if you’re in the LA area.
