Audrey Kawasaki
Picks of the Harvest 3, curated by Sour Harvest, opened this past Friday (09.08.06)@ Thinkspace on Santa Monica Boulevard. The gallery was packed from front to back starting with eight Audrey Kawasaki paintings on wood including an installation of three large panels. The main area of the gallery featured a mind-numbing array of original paintings, sculptures, and a few custom toys from over 100 artists. There are some really great pieces here at surprisingly affordable prices — quite a few are under $300 with some even lower. This weekend’s Artcrawl 9 will serve as a second opening of sorts — a perfect chance to check out the show which runs through October 6th, 2006. Props to LC, Andrew and Shawn Hosner for presenting a very cool crossection of postbrow art.
