Jeff Soto and 2006

We all know Jeff Soto but more importantly we all have been aching for the arrival of his highly anticipated toy, the Walker.
Fearing that we might miss it, we continuously search for news about
this toy. Well, straight from the man himself, the Walker is currently
on his way to China for tooling. The plan is 1000 pieces with 3-4
colorways, one of which will be a really small run at 50 pieces.
Currently the price tag is set at approximately $200. I know, it may
sound expensive, but if you’ve seen this thing and with all his moving
parts, $200 is really quite affordable. Although Jeff indicated there
are still lots of decisions to make, we can expect to see the first few
to appear at SDCC 2006. So make sure you start saving now!!!!

Jeff is also working on a Toy2R 8" Egg Qee, called Terrarium Keeper.
Take a look at the art piece above and you will see part of the
packaging for the toy. The toy design is slightly different, so you
will just have to wait a bit more to see the actual toy. In the mean
time, Jeff is busy finishing his pieces for his upcoming solo show "Supernova" opening on February 18, 2006 at the Jonathan Levine Gallery.   Stay tuned for further information as we approach the opening night.

  1. It’s going to be hard deciding among the 3-4 colors and the amount of time between each release. Whatever the case, I know I’ll be snagging one as it’s been on my list for far too long. 😀
VP, do you think you could also confirm from Jeff that there are still plans for mini/super deformed Painter Walkers? As I’m fairly sure I remember it being mentioned from the manufacturer a while back, but just wondering if things have changed. 🙂
