Mister Cartoon Bombs Meltdown
Mister Cartoon dropped by the Meltdown Gallery to bomb a wall in prep for the heavily anticipated Release Party for his Lost Angel figure this Sunday (3.18) from 4-8 PM at Meltdown. In the span of about 3 and half hours, Cartoon hit the blank white walls with a huge 'City of Angeles' mural (easily 12 ft. across), a crimson piece, and a quick set of tags for himself and his partner, Estevan Oriol.
While Cartoon is probably best known for his tattoos, he showed off his skills with quick outlines, followed by steady fill-in, and finishing touches -- pretty much straight through. With a combo of Spanish paint and Krylon black - original outlines became fuller, cleaner and cleaner. The final results speak for themselves.
A huge turnout (2000+) is expected for the release of the Lost Angel figure produced by Super Rad Toys. This isn't your standard release party -- all the stops have been pulled: Cartoon is going to turn heads with a fleet of custom painted cars and bikes, huge paintings, and a taco truck (come early!). It'll be packed - so come early and soak in the whole experience.
